Prepare a batch of garbanzos for salads & other bowl dishes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups garbanzos, dried & soaked overnight in cold water
  • water - varies according to cooking method below

Instructions

  1. Slow Cooker: 1) Add garbanzos & 3 cups of water to slow cooker 2) Stir, cover & cook for 3 1/2 hours HIGH or 8 hours LOW 3) Remove lid drain before serving
  2. Instant Pot: 1) Add garbanzos & 2 cups of water to cooker 2) Secure the cooker lid, seal pressure valve; cook on Manual/Pressure for 5 minutes 3) Leave to Natural Pressure Release for 15 minutes 5) Remove lid drain before serving
  3. Stove Top: 1) Add garbanzos & 4 cups of water to a heavy bottomed pan 2) Stir & bring the water to boil, reduce the heat to low, and cover 3) Cook for 45 minutes 4) Remove lid drain before serving
